  • Spend $100s to be a constant victim

A game in which you spend $100s to be a victim to people who spend $1000s. Monthly release of ships that costs $1000s and can beat everything previous. I will never play a Scopely game again in my life. Do not reward them with either your time or money.

  • Money and Time Sink

When I first started playing the game I had high expectations and thought I had found a hame that could keep me interested long term. Thus had packaged that you could purchase that would reduce the time sink aspect of the game and I was good with that. Little did I know that those affordable purchase would go away as they pushed you towards $50 and $100 purchases. This truly is a P2W game and if you aren’t willing to shell out large sums of money then you just become a snack for those players that did. They also don’t offer the same opportunities for ship purchases to everyone. Multiple people in my alliance were offered the opportunity to buy more advanced ships that were of the same level as me and I never saw the same opportunity. Things like this and having my ships destroyed by players with no hope of being able to respond have made this game more like drudgery than fun. It’s great for the first 14 levels and then it just starts to go down from there. Take this for what it’s worth but I just seem this game as something i threw my money away in.
  • It was enjoyable...

This is a well designed game that is fun to play. At least it was until the developers decided to give unfair advantage to those willing to spend large amounts of money into the game, making it unplayable to those who can only afford smaller in game purchases. I have this feedback to them in a survey that interrupted my game and in the same day had two other sessions interrupted with requests to take the same survey. I’m disappointed as I was enjoying the game but, it’s just become too much of a headache that just isn’t enjoyable anymore... unless I want to dump $60+ into it... agreed wins out in the end I suppose.

Another pay to play game. Everyone is bottlenecked for resources so it forces you to join big alliances. As a result we know the outcome of the game will be who can build the biggest alliance. If all you enjoy is pvp this is the game for you, but I think they missed what could have been a game for all types of players.
  • Impossible to move forward

Like others have said, this game is completely unbalanced. It was fun at first but when you hit around level 18-19 it becomes impossible and completely joyless. Can’t achieve any missions without a super trick ship. Can’t build a ship without mining resources. Can’t mine resources because the entire universe of player characters is out to destroy you. Can’t defend yourself without a better ship. Rinse and repeat. Hard, joyless slog. Decent graphics and the play up to this obvious inflection point was good enough. Spare yourself from yet another digital chore.

I’ve been playing since December. Any resources like Parsteel, Tritanium, Dilithium that you obtain through $100 purchases are not protected and subject to being raided by other players. If you think you can grind away to eventually get a cool ship? Forget about it. With the refinery woefully stingy, and having to mine, or raid for resources, doing the math, it would take you over 6 months for any higher level 22 and up upgrades. And you thought grinding for the Maus in world of tanks was bad? Just try getting to a Tier 5 level 35 Kumari battle ship when you reach level 25... you could be spending a year grinding. And then they dangle these cool ships and resources in front of you in the form of events... well they are limited time, and geared towards P2W players... unless you have the money to upgrade to beat other players and don’t have anything else to do during 24 hrs and can devote all your time to it, you will not even stand a chance of winning anything significant. The only thing you get for destroying another player’s ship or raiding whatever resources you can is hate mail from the subjected player. No gold, silver, XP, or anything that might help you grind your way to getting stronger or better ships. Zip, nada. If it were not for being able to hang out with some friends some nights and chatting while raiding some poor player’s base I would have removed this game back in January. Whatever money I spent on this game was not worth it. There are always bigger fish... players at level 34 and above have either spent 20k (by one such player’s own admission) or must be playing non-stop, 24/7... Unless you plan on spending money buying shields, so you can grind forever, It’s just not worth it. Little or negative pleasure (when your base gets raided!) for the time and effort you put into it.

Enjoyed the game at the beginning who wouldn’t it is Star Trek after all. However there are lots of bugs. It is a true pvp game. You will realize once u hit lvl 15. worst issue is paying for resources and losing them by repeated attacks by higher level players. CBS should pull the plug on this game as it is giving Star Trek a bad name.
