My only problem is with the career mode. You only gain 5 points for a win and 3 for a tie, no matter what league you're in. When you advance leagues, you should earn more points for winning in a higher league. Why is an iPhone game career mode so grindy?

The AI will hit a homeruns with any player doesn’t matter power or contact and even if you have perfect timing for the pitches and place them where the game tells you they still T off on you. When I bat I’ll use the riptides who have a bunch of power and I hit maybe 2 or 3 dingers a game all the rest just hit the wall or I fly out. I lost 20-8 to the storm. I don’t understand it’s so random

For its size the game is amazing but I have lost all audio tried everything oopppss I had the ringer off... Reading the negative reviews hate see how they will feel about Intellinvision when the entire defense would move to field a ball. This is cool lil game..
  • It’s basically a home run derby type game

Don’t get this thinking the fielding will be good or just ok. It’s horrible. So if you like home run derby with bad fielding then you’ll like it.

Fun game, simple yet engaging gameplay with the ability to get more in depth with strategy. Developers also seem very responsive and committed to improving the game through updates. Looking forward to seeing what else the developers have in store.

Unrealistic in effect that batters hit anything you throw. Mixing pitches are worthless.

Update: After playing about 20 games, I downgraded my score due to the seemingly unobservant skill rating system. My gold 5 star pitcher just got served a shellacking by a bunch of bronze 3 star turds. The tipping point was a bases loaded walk off homer from a guy with 1/2 star power. This *should have* been the best game on Apple Arcade but alas the devs nerfed the rating system, thus making it an unplayable and unbearably frustrating experience. All in all, this is a beautiful game. A fresh take on arcade baseball with a great idea for team building. The problem is that the stars are not predictable in determining the outcome of the game. A 5 star pitcher should almost always strikeout a 3 star batter. But the batter typically wins. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s still worth playing, it’s Apple Arcade. There’s nothing to lose!

It is hard to hit against online opponents. Difference coming in between a ball and strike is hard to detect. I’ve learned to pick up release points. A lot of people mention runs scoring on fly outs to end the inning. The run comes off when it turns over. I wish there were maybe more singles. Scoring tends to be HR based. If you throw a strike and the hitter gets it on the sweet spot it’s usually a HR. That’s good and bad in a way. Good because throwing strikes is dangerous, bad because you usually can’t throw a strike and get only a single, unless they don’t get it on the sweet spot. But most people are pretty good at getting it on the sweet spot, and it becomes a HR derby on strikes. It maybe takes away some strategy. If you’re getting more singles you can maybe throw more strikes. The game tends to be everyone throwing inside or outside all the time trying to get weak contact or swings and misses. I think out of roughly 200 sweet spot hits, maybe 20 are line drive singles, or line drive outs at a fielder, 150 are HR’s and 30 are doubles. But that’s also what makes the game good. You have to lay off pitches out of the zone, and find the strikes. Really become a seasoned hitter Ultimately, maybe it needs more incentive to throw strikes somehow. Some guys will give you nothing but inner and outer pitches out of the zone. As a pitcher, it feels cheap and easy to just go to outside curveballs/inside fastballs constantly, knowing at some point the hitter is going to bite. Once I get a 1-0 or 2-0 lead, I feel pretty confident I’m going to win, because I can just mix it up with pitches out of the zone. I’ll throw strikes, but if I ever get in trouble, I just go to inside/outside pitches the batter pops up or k’s on.
